Fasteners, clips & sealing components

For people who
keep things going.

Correct components. Clear specifications. Known traceability.

RIPSPEC is a family owned business supplying fasteners, clips and sealing components for vehicles, plant & machinery. We focus on the small but essential parts that complete a repair: bolts, specialist fixings, seals, O-rings, washers and gaskets that are often difficult to identify or source individually, especially for older vehicles that deserve to stay on the road.

RIPSPEC Sets & Kits

You've got the part. RIPSPEC supplies everything needed to fit it. Our kits gather the fasteners, seals, gaskets and washers a specific job calls for, including the small items that get damaged during removal, lost on the workshop floor, or should never be reused.

03 — TRACEABILITY

How we source

Genuine means genuine. Equivalent means equivalent. Every RIPSPEC product states which, and the specification behind it.

01 RIPSPEC verified

RIPSPEC-branded components

When a part carries the RIPSPEC name, it has been sourced to our specification, checked for fitment and quality, and supplied from the UK. That's what RIPSPEC Verified means.

02 OEM

Genuine OEM

Where a component is supplied as a genuine OEM part, it is clearly identified as such.

03 OE / Mfr

Recognised OE & established manufacturers

Where parts come from known OE or established manufacturers, their provenance is retained and clearly stated.

04 — The standard

RIPSPEC Verified

Our standard for products supplied under the RIPSPEC name.

Every RIPSPEC product starts with a defined specification for the application it is intended to serve. We establish that specification using original equipment information, recognised engineering standards, manufacturer and supplier documentation, dimensional checks, application research and incoming inspection, as appropriate to the component.

We do not simply source a generic component because it looks right or appears against a particular part number. We identify the characteristics that matter to the job, source against them, retain supporting product and batch information, and inspect incoming stock for conformity with our specification.

Fasteners & clips

Spec set A

Depending on the component, may include

Thread diameter & pitch
Overall & threaded length
Head type & drive size
Material & strength grade
Coating, plating or finish
Washer, flange or captive dims
DIN, ISO, BS or mfr spec
Original equipment reference
Intended vehicle or machinery
Supplier & manufacturer info
Batch or stock receipt info

Dimensions and physical characteristics may be checked directly by RIPSPEC, while material grades, coatings, manufacturing standards and similar technical properties are verified through the supporting specification and documentation provided by the manufacturer or supplier.

Sealing components

Spec set B

Depending on the component, may include

Internal & external dimensions
Cross-section or thickness
Material or elastomer type
Hardness or material grade
Temperature range
Fluid compatibility
Shape & sealing profile
Original equipment reference
Intended vehicle or machinery
Supplier & manufacturer info
Batch or stock receipt info

As with our fasteners, verification combines the appropriate manufacturer or supplier documentation with the dimensional, visual and incoming checks we can perform directly.

A step further

RIPSPEC Kits

RIPSPEC kits go a step further. We verify not only the individual components, but the job they are intended to complete. That means identifying the fasteners, clips, seals and associated components required for a particular repair or assembly, including items commonly damaged, disturbed or specified for renewal during removal.

RIPSPEC Verified means there is a specification behind the part, evidence behind the specification, and someone prepared to stand behind what is supplied.

06 — Suppliers

Supplier enquiries

We welcome enquiries from UK and international manufacturers and distributors of automotive fasteners, engineered clips, seals, sealing components and related small parts.

Please note: we only invite enquiries from manufacturers and suppliers operating certified quality management systems (ISO 9001 or IATF 16949) and able to provide full material traceability and certificates of conformity on request. Full traceability and test certification is required for all fastener and sealing products we stock.
